Booking their FF&E service for our San Francisco penthouse was effortless. All custom furniture arrived and was fully installed two weeks ahead of schedule.
Our redwood city kitchen remodel came with a crystal-clear, itemized estimate that never budged. When a plumbing glitch emerged behind the drywall, the crew resolved it the same afternoon. We couldnt be happier.
We had a wonderful experience with Allen and the design team at Sofiov Design. Our bathroom remodel project resulted in a gorgeous bathroom. We stuck close to Allen’s design and are extremely happy with it. It is subtle and very elegant. Just what we were looking for. The floor to ceiling wavy tiles covering most of the walls are understated and yet quite spectacular. The colors are perfect.
We used half inch glass for the shower enclosure and it is substantial and yet at the same time light and airy. The nickel fixtures give the right touch of luxury. Wonderful.
Thank you so much Allen and Design Team at Sofiov Design!

From our very first conversation with Allen, it was clear we'd found the right designer. His modern aesthetic lined up so naturally with our own taste that we never had to over-explain what we wanted; he just got it, and then made it better. Allen and the Sofiov Design team walked us through material selections with patience and a sharp eye for clean lines, honest textures, and finishes that feel timeless rather than trendy. Every choice felt intentional and true to the home we'd pictured.
This was a big project with a lot of moving parts, and the team made it feel manageable and even fun. They were responsive, enthusiastic, and clearly cared about getting the details right. We love walking into our home every day and seeing their work. If you're drawn to modern design and want a team that listens and collaborates, we can't recommend Sofiov Design highly enough.

I cannot recommend Allen at Sofiov Design enough. We wanted to add a half bathroom to the laundry room in our San Francisco condo, and since this was our first remodel, we were a little nervous. While we only had a few vague ideas of what we wanted, Allen and his team made the design process incredibly easy and enjoyable. They presented several options that went far beyond what we could have imagined, creating a clean, modern space that perfectly fits our home's aesthetic. Allen was a delight to work with--highly responsive, detail-oriented, and mindful of keeping options under budget. We highly recommend them for any project!

We hired Sofiov Design for a large-scale backyard remodel, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Our project had a lot of moving parts--including new flooring, a large pergola, an outdoor kitchen, a new deck, and a full pool refinishing. To make things more complicated, our house is situated on a hill, and the existing pool created some tight geometric constraints.
From the very beginning, Allen was incredibly thorough and attentive. He spent a significant amount of time gathering our requirements and carefully surveying our property's tricky layout and topography. He made multiple site visits just to ensure he completely understood our vision and the technical constraints of the hillside.
The initial design Allen delivered was almost flawless. We only needed to iterate on a few minor details, and he handled those changes quickly and seamlessly. He also went above and beyond by spending several hours with us at the material showroom, guiding us through our options for pavers, coping, and other finishes.
Our project is now under construction, and we are so excited to see it all come to life. If you want a designer who combines meticulous attention to detail with fantastic customer service, we highly recommend Allen and Sofiov Design!

Planning a home renovation or new construction project starts with the right ideas and a clear direction. Without proper planning, small design decisions can turn into costly mistakes later. At Sofiov Interior Design, our design consultation services in Millbrae—from the vibrant Downtown to the Caltrain Station and near Millbrae City Hall—help homeowners organize their ideas and create a practical plan before construction begins.
A professional consultation gives you clarity about layout, materials, style, and budget. Our experienced team carefully listens to your goals and then provides thoughtful design advice. From the first conversation to the final planning stage, our focus is to make the design process simple, organized, and stress-free.
Starting a project can feel overwhelming when there are many decisions to make. Our design consultation service simplifies the entire process. Instead of coordinating with multiple professionals, you receive expert guidance from one experienced design team. We review your ideas, analyze your property, and discuss the best design possibilities. This early planning stage helps prevent confusion and delays later in the project. With clear direction from the start, your project moves forward smoothly and confidently.
Every home should reflect the lifestyle of the people who live in it. During our consultation, we take time to understand your daily routines, family needs, and personal style preferences. By learning how you use your home, we can suggest design ideas that improve comfort and practicality. Our goal is to create spaces that feel natural, functional, and visually appealing.
A well-planned layout can significantly improve the way a home feels and functions. During the consultation, we review your existing layout or early project plans. We suggest adjustments that improve room flow, maximize usable space, and increase natural lighting. Even small layout changes can create a more open and comfortable living environment.
Selecting materials and finishes can often be confusing because of the many options available. Our design team helps simplify this process by recommending reliable materials and design combinations. We guide you through flooring choices, cabinetry styles, lighting fixtures, countertops, and color palettes. Each recommendation is carefully selected for durability, beauty, and long-term value.
One of the most valuable outcomes of a design consultation is clarity. During the consultation, we explore different design ideas and architectural possibilities for your project. Our team helps you visualize how different elements will work together. This process gives homeowners a clear understanding of the final result before construction begins.
A good design must also respect the project budget. During the consultation, we discuss estimated costs and recommend solutions that balance quality with affordability. We help prioritize design elements so your budget is used wisely. This approach allows homeowners to achieve the desired look and functionality without unnecessary expenses.
