Long overdue - but I would give Allen and team a complete 5 star.
Our home was a remodel (new purchase) with limited structural changes but involved permits etc. Allen and team helped us expedite the design, selection and coordination process in 8 weeks. In addition, his detailed drawings and attention to detail is commendable. This helped us get more precision in our contractor quotes and the outcome was exactly as we envisioned in the rendering.
His calm, personable, and professional working team is an ABSOLUTE pleasure to work with. We suffered when we did not listen to him (e.g. going with another kitchen cabinet contractor) and would strongly suggest working with him on any future project.

Booking their FF&E service for our San Francisco penthouse was effortless. All custom furniture arrived and was fully installed two weeks ahead of schedule.
Our redwood city kitchen remodel came with a crystal-clear, itemized estimate that never budged. When a plumbing glitch emerged behind the drywall, the crew resolved it the same afternoon. We couldnt be happier.
We had a wonderful experience with Allen and the design team at Sofiov Design. Our bathroom remodel project resulted in a gorgeous bathroom. We stuck close to Allen’s design and are extremely happy with it. It is subtle and very elegant. Just what we were looking for. The floor to ceiling wavy tiles covering most of the walls are understated and yet quite spectacular. The colors are perfect.
We used half inch glass for the shower enclosure and it is substantial and yet at the same time light and airy. The nickel fixtures give the right touch of luxury. Wonderful.
Thank you so much Allen and Design Team at Sofiov Design!

From our very first conversation with Allen, it was clear we'd found the right designer. His modern aesthetic lined up so naturally with our own taste that we never had to over-explain what we wanted; he just got it, and then made it better. Allen and the Sofiov Design team walked us through material selections with patience and a sharp eye for clean lines, honest textures, and finishes that feel timeless rather than trendy. Every choice felt intentional and true to the home we'd pictured.
This was a big project with a lot of moving parts, and the team made it feel manageable and even fun. They were responsive, enthusiastic, and clearly cared about getting the details right. We love walking into our home every day and seeing their work. If you're drawn to modern design and want a team that listens and collaborates, we can't recommend Sofiov Design highly enough.

I cannot recommend Allen at Sofiov Design enough. We wanted to add a half bathroom to the laundry room in our San Francisco condo, and since this was our first remodel, we were a little nervous. While we only had a few vague ideas of what we wanted, Allen and his team made the design process incredibly easy and enjoyable. They presented several options that went far beyond what we could have imagined, creating a clean, modern space that perfectly fits our home's aesthetic. Allen was a delight to work with--highly responsive, detail-oriented, and mindful of keeping options under budget. We highly recommend them for any project!

Starting a home project without the right guidance can lead to confusion, delays, and costly mistakes. A professional design consultation helps turn your ideas into a clear and practical plan. At Sofiov Interior Design, our design consultation services in Burlingame help homeowners understand the possibilities of their space before construction begins, whether inspired by the iconic Burlingame Avenue, the tranquility of Washington Park, or the historic charm of the Burlingame Train Station.
Our experienced design team listens carefully to your ideas, lifestyle needs, and design preferences. We then provide professional advice, creative direction, and practical solutions that match your vision and budget. Every consultation is focused on making your project easier to plan and more successful to execute.
Planning a renovation, addition, or new construction requires many important decisions. Our design consultation service brings everything together in one place. Instead of working with multiple professionals separately, you receive clear guidance from an experienced design team. We review your ideas, analyze your space, and discuss the best approach for your project. This process saves time and prevents unnecessary mistakes later. With expert planning from the beginning, your project moves forward smoothly and confidently.
Every home should reflect the people who live in it. Our consultation begins by understanding your lifestyle, family needs, and design goals. We listen carefully to your ideas and expectations before suggesting solutions. By learning how you use your space, we can recommend design concepts that improve comfort, flow, and daily functionality. This thoughtful approach helps create a home that feels natural and practical for everyday living.
A well-designed layout can make a home feel larger, brighter, and more comfortable. During the consultation, we review your existing layout or project plans to identify opportunities for improvement. We suggest adjustments that improve movement between spaces, increase natural light, and maximize usable areas. These planning decisions create a more balanced and efficient home environment.
Choosing the right materials is one of the most challenging parts of any home project. With so many options available, it can be difficult to know what works best. Our design experts simplify this process by guiding you through trusted material choices. We discuss flooring options, cabinetry, fixtures, lighting, and color palettes. Each recommendation focuses on durability, style, and long-term value. Our goal is to help you select materials that enhance both beauty and performance.
One of the biggest benefits of a design consultation is gaining a clear picture of the final result. During the consultation, we discuss design themes, layout possibilities, and architectural ideas that match your vision. Our team helps you understand how different elements will work together in the finished space. This planning stage allows you to make informed decisions before construction begins.
A successful project must balance design goals with realistic budgeting. During the consultation, we discuss estimated costs and help prioritize the most important design elements.
