Booking their FF&E service for our San Francisco penthouse was effortless. All custom furniture arrived and was fully installed two weeks ahead of schedule.
Our redwood city kitchen remodel came with a crystal-clear, itemized estimate that never budged. When a plumbing glitch emerged behind the drywall, the crew resolved it the same afternoon. We couldnt be happier.
We had a wonderful experience with Allen and the design team at Sofiov Design. Our bathroom remodel project resulted in a gorgeous bathroom. We stuck close to Allen’s design and are extremely happy with it. It is subtle and very elegant. Just what we were looking for. The floor to ceiling wavy tiles covering most of the walls are understated and yet quite spectacular. The colors are perfect.
We used half inch glass for the shower enclosure and it is substantial and yet at the same time light and airy. The nickel fixtures give the right touch of luxury. Wonderful.
Thank you so much Allen and Design Team at Sofiov Design!

From our very first conversation with Allen, it was clear we'd found the right designer. His modern aesthetic lined up so naturally with our own taste that we never had to over-explain what we wanted; he just got it, and then made it better. Allen and the Sofiov Design team walked us through material selections with patience and a sharp eye for clean lines, honest textures, and finishes that feel timeless rather than trendy. Every choice felt intentional and true to the home we'd pictured.
This was a big project with a lot of moving parts, and the team made it feel manageable and even fun. They were responsive, enthusiastic, and clearly cared about getting the details right. We love walking into our home every day and seeing their work. If you're drawn to modern design and want a team that listens and collaborates, we can't recommend Sofiov Design highly enough.

I cannot recommend Allen at Sofiov Design enough. We wanted to add a half bathroom to the laundry room in our San Francisco condo, and since this was our first remodel, we were a little nervous. While we only had a few vague ideas of what we wanted, Allen and his team made the design process incredibly easy and enjoyable. They presented several options that went far beyond what we could have imagined, creating a clean, modern space that perfectly fits our home's aesthetic. Allen was a delight to work with--highly responsive, detail-oriented, and mindful of keeping options under budget. We highly recommend them for any project!

We hired Sofiov Design for a large-scale backyard remodel, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Our project had a lot of moving parts--including new flooring, a large pergola, an outdoor kitchen, a new deck, and a full pool refinishing. To make things more complicated, our house is situated on a hill, and the existing pool created some tight geometric constraints.
From the very beginning, Allen was incredibly thorough and attentive. He spent a significant amount of time gathering our requirements and carefully surveying our property's tricky layout and topography. He made multiple site visits just to ensure he completely understood our vision and the technical constraints of the hillside.
The initial design Allen delivered was almost flawless. We only needed to iterate on a few minor details, and he handled those changes quickly and seamlessly. He also went above and beyond by spending several hours with us at the material showroom, guiding us through our options for pavers, coping, and other finishes.
Our project is now under construction, and we are so excited to see it all come to life. If you want a designer who combines meticulous attention to detail with fantastic customer service, we highly recommend Allen and Sofiov Design!

Planning a home project starts with a strong design strategy. Whether you are building a new house, remodeling a space, or improving your property layout, professional design consultation can guide every step. At Sofiov Interior Design, we provide expert design consultation services in Emerald Hills—a community nestled near the scenic Emerald Hills Open Space and the historic St. Matthias Catholic Church—to help homeowners turn their ideas into clear and practical plans.
Design is not only about how a home looks. It is also about how it functions and supports everyday life. Our experienced team works closely with you to understand your vision, preferences, and goals. We help you explore design possibilities and organize your ideas before construction begins.
Many homeowners start a project with ideas but are unsure how to turn them into a clear design plan. Our consultation service helps bring structure and direction to the entire process. We review your current space or your new construction plans and discuss how to improve layout, style, and functionality. Our team provides professional recommendations that help homeowners make confident design decisions. From early planning discussions to final design direction, our goal is to simplify the process and help you move forward with clarity.
Every homeowner has a unique vision for their space. During the consultation, we focus on understanding your lifestyle, daily routines, and design preferences. We listen carefully to your ideas and discuss what matters most to you. Whether you prefer modern design, classic elegance, or a balanced combination, our team works to shape a design concept that matches your expectations. This personalized approach ensures that the final design truly reflects your personality and living needs.
A well-designed home starts with an efficient layout. During the consultation process, we evaluate how each room functions and how spaces connect with one another. We may suggest adjustments that improve movement between rooms, increase natural lighting, or make better use of available space. These thoughtful changes can greatly improve comfort and functionality. Our goal is to create living spaces that feel open, balanced, and practical for everyday life.
Selecting materials is one of the most important parts of any home design. With countless options available, making the right choices can feel overwhelming. Our design consultation helps simplify this process. We guide homeowners in choosing flooring, cabinetry, lighting fixtures, countertops, paint colors, and other design elements. Each recommendation is carefully considered based on durability, style, and long-term value. The result is a home that looks beautiful while remaining practical for daily living.
One of the biggest benefits of professional design consultation is gaining clarity about the final result. Through detailed discussions and concept planning, we help you imagine how your home will look and feel. Understanding the overall design direction early allows homeowners to make better decisions about layouts, finishes, and structural elements. It also helps prevent design changes during construction. With a clear design vision in place, your project can move forward with confidence.
Good design should always work within a realistic budget. During the consultation, we discuss your project expectations and financial goals. Our team helps prioritize the most important design features while suggesting smart alternatives where needed. This approach allows homeowners to achieve a high-quality design without unnecessary spending. Careful planning early in the process helps avoid unexpected costs later in the project.
