Long overdue - but I would give Allen and team a complete 5 star.
Our home was a remodel (new purchase) with limited structural changes but involved permits etc. Allen and team helped us expedite the design, selection and coordination process in 8 weeks. In addition, his detailed drawings and attention to detail is commendable. This helped us get more precision in our contractor quotes and the outcome was exactly as we envisioned in the rendering.
His calm, personable, and professional working team is an ABSOLUTE pleasure to work with. We suffered when we did not listen to him (e.g. going with another kitchen cabinet contractor) and would strongly suggest working with him on any future project.

Booking their FF&E service for our San Francisco penthouse was effortless. All custom furniture arrived and was fully installed two weeks ahead of schedule.
Our redwood city kitchen remodel came with a crystal-clear, itemized estimate that never budged. When a plumbing glitch emerged behind the drywall, the crew resolved it the same afternoon. We couldnt be happier.
We had a wonderful experience with Allen and the design team at Sofiov Design. Our bathroom remodel project resulted in a gorgeous bathroom. We stuck close to Allen’s design and are extremely happy with it. It is subtle and very elegant. Just what we were looking for. The floor to ceiling wavy tiles covering most of the walls are understated and yet quite spectacular. The colors are perfect.
We used half inch glass for the shower enclosure and it is substantial and yet at the same time light and airy. The nickel fixtures give the right touch of luxury. Wonderful.
Thank you so much Allen and Design Team at Sofiov Design!

From our very first conversation with Allen, it was clear we'd found the right designer. His modern aesthetic lined up so naturally with our own taste that we never had to over-explain what we wanted; he just got it, and then made it better. Allen and the Sofiov Design team walked us through material selections with patience and a sharp eye for clean lines, honest textures, and finishes that feel timeless rather than trendy. Every choice felt intentional and true to the home we'd pictured.
This was a big project with a lot of moving parts, and the team made it feel manageable and even fun. They were responsive, enthusiastic, and clearly cared about getting the details right. We love walking into our home every day and seeing their work. If you're drawn to modern design and want a team that listens and collaborates, we can't recommend Sofiov Design highly enough.

I cannot recommend Allen at Sofiov Design enough. We wanted to add a half bathroom to the laundry room in our San Francisco condo, and since this was our first remodel, we were a little nervous. While we only had a few vague ideas of what we wanted, Allen and his team made the design process incredibly easy and enjoyable. They presented several options that went far beyond what we could have imagined, creating a clean, modern space that perfectly fits our home's aesthetic. Allen was a delight to work with--highly responsive, detail-oriented, and mindful of keeping options under budget. We highly recommend them for any project!

Every homeowner has a unique vision. Our custom home design process begins by understanding your lifestyle, needs, and preferences. We discuss your ideas, design goals, and budget carefully. Our designers then create detailed architectural plans based on your requirements. With the help of modern 3D renderings, you can clearly see how your future home will look before construction begins. This step allows adjustments early and helps ensure everything matches your expectations. The result is a custom-built home that fits your lifestyle perfectly.
Some homeowners prefer a quicker and simpler option. For this reason, we also offer pre-designed model homes that are efficient, practical, and budget-friendly. These home plans are already tested for functionality and smart space usage. You can still personalize many elements such as finishes, layouts, and exterior design. This approach saves planning time while still allowing customization. Pre-designed homes are ideal for clients who want a faster construction process without sacrificing quality.
Building a home requires careful coordination. Our experienced project managers handle permits, inspections, scheduling, and subcontractor management. You will receive regular progress updates so you always know how your project is moving forward. Our organized workflow helps prevent delays and keeps the construction timeline on track. Each stage of construction is monitored closely to maintain high standards and ensure that everything is completed properly.
