Building from scratch in Los Altos felt daunting until we saw their fixed-cost construction model. Every expense was laid out transparently before pouring concrete. There were zero hidden fees or surprise invoices at completion. It was the smoothest build imaginable.
Long overdue - but I would give Allen and team a complete 5 star.
Our home was a remodel (new purchase) with limited structural changes but involved permits etc. Allen and team helped us expedite the design, selection and coordination process in 8 weeks. In addition, his detailed drawings and attention to detail is commendable. This helped us get more precision in our contractor quotes and the outcome was exactly as we envisioned in the rendering.
His calm, personable, and professional working team is an ABSOLUTE pleasure to work with. We suffered when we did not listen to him (e.g. going with another kitchen cabinet contractor) and would strongly suggest working with him on any future project.

Booking their FF&E service for our San Francisco penthouse was effortless. All custom furniture arrived and was fully installed two weeks ahead of schedule.
Our redwood city kitchen remodel came with a crystal-clear, itemized estimate that never budged. When a plumbing glitch emerged behind the drywall, the crew resolved it the same afternoon. We couldnt be happier.
We had a wonderful experience with Allen and the design team at Sofiov Design. Our bathroom remodel project resulted in a gorgeous bathroom. We stuck close to Allen’s design and are extremely happy with it. It is subtle and very elegant. Just what we were looking for. The floor to ceiling wavy tiles covering most of the walls are understated and yet quite spectacular. The colors are perfect.
We used half inch glass for the shower enclosure and it is substantial and yet at the same time light and airy. The nickel fixtures give the right touch of luxury. Wonderful.
Thank you so much Allen and Design Team at Sofiov Design!

From our very first conversation with Allen, it was clear we'd found the right designer. His modern aesthetic lined up so naturally with our own taste that we never had to over-explain what we wanted; he just got it, and then made it better. Allen and the Sofiov Design team walked us through material selections with patience and a sharp eye for clean lines, honest textures, and finishes that feel timeless rather than trendy. Every choice felt intentional and true to the home we'd pictured.
This was a big project with a lot of moving parts, and the team made it feel manageable and even fun. They were responsive, enthusiastic, and clearly cared about getting the details right. We love walking into our home every day and seeing their work. If you're drawn to modern design and want a team that listens and collaborates, we can't recommend Sofiov Design highly enough.

I cannot recommend Allen at Sofiov Design enough. We wanted to add a half bathroom to the laundry room in our San Francisco condo, and since this was our first remodel, we were a little nervous. While we only had a few vague ideas of what we wanted, Allen and his team made the design process incredibly easy and enjoyable. They presented several options that went far beyond what we could have imagined, creating a clean, modern space that perfectly fits our home's aesthetic. Allen was a delight to work with--highly responsive, detail-oriented, and mindful of keeping options under budget. We highly recommend them for any project!
